Lady Gaga towers above designer Azzedine Alai”a in gargantuan heels as she attends his Paris show for Men's Collections

She is known as one of pop's most statuesque figures.

But Lady Gaga took that a step too far on Monday when she attended the Azzedine Alaia fashion show in Paris, France, as part of the Men's Collections.

At 1.55 metres tall, the 27 year-old star dwarfed the acclaimed tastemaker by more than a foot as they posed together for photographs ahead of his collection preview. 

Wearing a black and white jumpsuit, the eccentric performer - real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - looked Harlequin-inspired for the city's annual showcase, which has seen the likes of Salma Hayek and Anna Wintour in attendance this year.

She matched the look with epic heels and a grey wig made of plaited rope.

Conservative in comparison, Azzedine opted for an all-black ensemble capped with basic trainers and a waterproof jacket. 

But the look is just the latest in a series of bizarre outfits which the singer has worn whilst in the French capital. 

On Sunday, accompanied by her boyfriend Taylor Kinney, she attended the Atelier Versace show alongside Donatella Versace in a floor-length, black, hooded dress.

Prior to that the Born This Way singer was a guest at the 71st Golden Globes in California, where she opted for one of her more reserved outfits: a shimmering golden dress.

Not only has Gaga been switching up her look but she's also been celebrating the fact that she's now been a major force in the pop world for half a decade.

On January 14 she tweeted: '5 years today I had my 1st #1 Song with Just Dance. I can't believe I'm even here. Still making music I believe in. In my big shoes. Paws up,' 

Meanwhile Donatella recently announced that she see's not just Gaga as an inspiration but also the Queen.

Lady Gaga has been cleared of breaking British broadcasting rules after her live performance on The X Factor prompted a barrage of complaints from offended viewers.
The 27-year-old star was on stage to perform singles Do What U Want and Venus during the results show on October 27, shortly before girl-group Miss Dynamix were sent home following a closely fought sing-off with Hannah Barrett.
Dressed in a flesh coloured bra and panties, Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – was accompanied by a troupe of scantily clad dancers for a typically energetic, yet comparatively tame display given her risqué track record.

But while the performance got an enthusiastic round of applause from those in attendance at London’s Fountain Studios, viewers were left cold.

Media regulator Ofcom report that 317 called in to complain about the explicit nature of her appearance, which occurred before the 9pm watershed.

A further 60 complaints were placed at ITV regarding the act, carried out in front of a backdrop of Botocelli’s The Birth Of Venus – a recurrent theme throughout her promotional campaign for third album ARTPOP.
The channel has since deemed the performance to be within broadcasting rules.
A spokesperson said: ‘We do not believe Lady Gaga's performance was inappropriate for the family audience of the X Factor results show, which has an established tradition of featuring performances from the biggest music stars.’
Those stars include Rihanna and Christina Aguilera, whose raunchy dance moves led to similar complaints during past series’ of the hit show, and a similar response when they were both cleared of breaking any rules.
Gaga has also received backlash of a different kind following the release of ARTPOP and its lukewarm response from fans and critics.

Despite climbing to the top of the Billboard chart, her latest LP has failed to scale the heights of its predecessor, Born This Way, which sold more than a million copies in its first week of sales.
By comparison, ARTPOP has laboured with 285,000 copies sold during the first seven days of release – an 81% drop.
Lead single Applause also struggled, climbing to number 4 on the US Hot 100 while Katy Perry’s Roar, released on the same day, climbed to the top of the charts.
