One minute she's sat by a pool, minding her own business in perfect make-up, hair coiffed to an inch of its life, the next, she's staring down the camera lense of a Nikon D4.
But on Friday, as though she had set a shoot up herself, Heidi posed her little heart out in a tie-dye bikini.
And what a plethora of looks the cosmetically-enhanced reality star had to choose from her modelling repertoire.
First Heidi swept her blonde extensions into a side-parting, pushing her chest out and bending her knees as though she was starring in her own photo shoot, but of course the former Hills star was just casually relaxing by the pool.
Then it got a little more intense, as the hot Los Angeles sun beat down on her botoxed face, rather than jumping in the cooling pool literally a metre away, Heidi flung her head back, closed her eyes and again, pushed her chest out as though she was waiting for a spaceship to beam her up.
But this wasn't the first time the ex-Celebrity Big Brother 2013 housemate has thrown some random poses by a pool.
On her 27th birthday, two weeks ago, the wife of Spencer Pratt put on the whole sorry circus again, this time in a leopard print bikini.
Heidi is seen in one picture with pink-petal flip flops and sunglasses while smiling with her hand on her hip in a totally natural way.
Another photo shows the blonde lounging by the pool with her bare elbows bracing her up on the pavement and giving the photographer one of her sultry stares.
Next, she's got those wrinkle-free eyes downcast, while standing thigh-deep in the chlorinated water, one arm raised as she probably wonders whether the chemicals will affect her extensions.
The world waits with bated breath for the next installment of Heidi Montag by the pool.
