Just last month she was spotted working out with a personal trainer in a London park – the opening salvo in her furious battle against the bulge.
Indeed, Chantelle Houghton has been working hard to get in shape after a steady diet of junk food and fizzy drinks led her astray – and judging by her latest appearance, the new routine is paying dividends.
The 30-year-old TV personality was spotted as she made her way back to her car on Friday after calling in to a local newsagent – where she bypassed the fridge full of ice cold Cokes and picked up a healthy bottle of mineral water.
The mother-of-one has been getting into shape after losing her slim-line figure following the birth of daughter Dolly – her only child with ex-fiancé Alex Reid.
Stepping out this week, she was evidently happy to flaunt her weight loss in a flattering black ensemble comprised of sleeveless top and skinny black trousers.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner's face was flawlessly made-up – no doubt the result of her recent trip to the Tracie Giles Permanent Make-Up Clinic in London.
Earlier this year Chantelle spoke candidly about the unhealthy lifestyle that led to her eventual weight gain.
‘By lunchtime I'm usually starving and if we're out I'll grab something on the go, like a McDonald's or pizza when I'm being really bad,’ she said.
‘And because I'm tired, I want a Coke because it's full of sugar. And then I'll have takeaway at night. I love Nando's as well.'
She also admitted that her priorities shifted after splitting with cross dressing cage fighter Alex, adding: 'I dabbled in exercise, but I didn't have much of an actual regime. Then I split with Alex, so I had other things to worry about...
'I was thinking about doing Bikram Yoga but I decided against it because I'd have to wash my hair every time I do it.’

Chantelle rose to fame after starring in Celebrity Big Brother, where she pretended to be a fictional celebrity, a singer from the band Kandy Floss.
She met her former husband, Ordinary Boys singer Samuel Preston, in the house with the pair marrying in 2006 and divorcing just over a year later.
Chantelle went on to get engaged to Dolly’s father Alex in 2011, but the pair split in September last year.
