Taylor Swift makes her pins the centre of attention as she treats herself to some pre-birthday shopping

Taylor Swift is certainly getting used to being in the Southern hemisphere.

While normally every year she shivers through her birthday, this year  the pop star is being treated to sunshine and warmth thanks to her Australian tour.

On Thursday, the 24-year-old's gain was the world's gain too, as the singer put her long legs on display while out in Melbourne, Victoria.

The star treated herself to some pre-birthday shopping stopping in at clothing stores Ralph Lauren and Australian label Saba as well as jewelry store Melko.

Of course, just 24 hours later the Trouble singer was going to get showered in gifts for her 24th birthday, but still the lure of retail therapy was just too much for her.

For her day of shopping, Taylor wore a pair of black high waisted short shorts with a cropped long sleeved blush lace top.

Amazingly, the Valentine's Day star just threw on a pair of tan flats that would have made most woman's legs not look as lean as heels, but that was not problem for Taylor and her perfect pins.

The shopping day was just the start of the blonde beauty's celebrations, later in the evening the star and her entourage headed to dinner at a local Japanese restaurant.
